ALL IN TO VOTE

OUR CLIENT

Through an intentionally designed program — which provides structure, support, and recognition — the ALL IN Challenge strengthens college and university efforts to improve civic learning, political engagement, and voter participation.

THE AUDIENCE

The newly eligible voter. 18-25 year old’s that may be voting for the first time. Those that may not make voting a priority, and just need a little encouragement, and a reminder.

VISUAL DEVELOPMENT

SIMPLE CHANGE

Showcasing the brand in a more formal but still using expressive and dynamic text animation and smart camera movements to engage the audience on the topic.

A VIBRANT NEW BEGGINING

Showcasing the idea of voting as a not so scary thing, but in fact representing the brand using vibrant colors and comic like styles to appeal to the younger audience.

FIRST PASS

For the first pass of animation I wanted to focus on getting the main idea for the movement and making the overall animation feel upbeat.

second pass

The notes I got from the previous pass were to make the initial type larger and easier to read, and to make the overall animation quicker for social media use.

BEHIND THE SCENES

For the audiobed and SFX I worked with Kelly Warner to mix a fun and appropriate sound in the audio suite.

The entire piece was animated in After Effects converting Illustrator vector files to shape layers and with the help of nulls grouping all the colored pieces together.
